Kiki Jacobson (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate and earned a master’s degree in counseling at NC State University and is a Certified Financial Education Instructor through The National Financial Educators Council.
As a Caribbean American who grew up in a military family, Kiki often relocated both within the US and abroad. Her exposure to different cultures and appreciation of people from different backgrounds has instilled in her the importance of equity and inclusion. She uses her experience in military culture and as a BIPOC woman who advocates for these communities.
As a financial mental health therapist, Kiki works with clients at the intersection of money and emotions. Many people struggle with finances because of stress, beliefs, and emotional patterns around money. Kiki helps with identifying core money beliefs, increasing emotional awareness around money-related triggers, reducing shame by normalizing emotional responses to money, improving flexible/empowered financial beliefs, increasing financial literacy, and building healthier habits around budgeting and decision making. By integrating spiritual awareness, financial decisions can support not only external stability, but also inner wellbeing.
Kiki works with adults of all ages, specializing in: Financial literacy, Emotional reactions to money, Developing healthy money behavior, Spiritual questioning, High conflict, prolonged, and adversarial legal proceedings.
Her approach to counseling is holistic & attuned to the full complexity of the human experience — including the psychological, social, cultural, historical, and unconscious layers that shape a person’s life. She is also able to incorporate Tarot as a tool for empowerment and self-growth.
